Nand works in the area of developing Reliability Solutions for real-time grid management and monitoring.  He has extensive experience in power systems control, operations, EMS and SCADA systems.  He was formerly with Florida Power and Light where he was Supervisor of Network and Scheduling Applications Energy Control Center.  Nand works with the EPG development team and users to design applications and prepare functional specifications consistent with user requirements. 

Nand has taught graduate and under graduate courses in Power Systems and Control Systems at the University of Roorkee (India),University of Miami and Florida International University, Miami and Short courses at Georgia Tech. and Florida International University.  Nand’s education includes: 

Ph.D. - Power System Controls, University of Toronto, Canada.

Thesis Topic: Automatic Generation Control of a Large Multi-Area Interconnected Power Systems By Optimal Decentralized Control, Under the supervision of Prof. E.J. Davison

M.S.  - Control Systems, University of Roorkee, India

B.E. - Electrical Engineering, Agra University, India
